About Me:
|
My name is Meg and I am the owner of Happy Paws Pet Nanny. I have always had an undeniable love for animals. I am the girl who will stop you on the street to tell you how cute your dog is, I can’t help it! I have had a range of different pets throughout my life including, dogs, cats, birds, fish, hamsters, and even a rat named Oreo. I love all creatures big and small, except snakes (I have to be honest! - Don’t worry, we are still happy to care for snakes, I will just have the help of my lovely assistant).
I live in Anaheim Hills with my boyfriend Chris, our two cats, Chaplin and Bodhi, and our little dog, Cookie. I have had Chaplin and Bodhi for over seven years. They are both full of personality, mischief, and love. I got Chaplin from a local shelter when he was just a couple months old. The second I picked him up he curled up and fell asleep in my lap! He is still as cuddly as ever, just bigger! I got Bodhi when he would have otherwise been on his way to a shelter. A friend of mine was moving into an apartment that didn’t allow pets and there was no way I was letting that little ball of fluff go into the system! Chaplin was already the man of the house, but that didn’t faze Bodhi at all! He immediately made himself at home and it wasn’t long before they became best buds. There is daily chasing, wrestling, and cuddling around our place and we love it! Chris even built a custom ‘cat condo’ which is a regular source of entertainment for both them and us!
Cookie (a.k.a. Cookie Monster) is the newest addition to the family.

I understand the stress and guilt of leaving beloved pets behind while leaving for vacation or a long day at work. The first thing that I think of when planning a vacation is, ‘who is going to watch the kitties?’ I have tried all avenues ranging from asking family, friends, and neighbors to hiring a professional pet sitter.

While I trusted my family, friends, and neighbors, I always felt bad for having to ask, even though they seemed happy to do it. Once I hired a pet sitter, I realized that it was, paws down, the best way to go! I didn’t have to impose on any family or friends, and I felt much more comfortable leaving knowing that my kitties were in the care of a professional. I was filled with peace of mind throughout my trip!
I started Happy Paws Pet Nanny to help spread that peace of mind to other pet owners. When I graduated college, I was unsure about what I wanted to do as a career. I have always had the desire to work with animals, start my own business, and do something that would make a difference. When I made the decision to start a pet sitting business, it was as if a light bulb went on! I had always enjoyed pet sitting for friends and family over the years, but hadn’t explored the opportunity to make it my life’s work. This business that allows me work with animals and make a difference one pet at a time. |
